Congress Lok Sabha Elections Manifesto: The Bharatiya Janata Party took a swipe at the Congress on Friday over the manifesto released by the grand old party for the Lok Sabha elections. The BJP said that the Congress party has become a joke and is getting uprooted from every state in the country.
Commenting on Congress’s manifesto for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls, Rajasthan Minister Rajyavardhan Rathore said that when the Congress was in power in Rajasthan, the party only gave the guarantee of ‘loot’. "In the series of hollow guarantees, it's one more guarantee. When their (Congress) government was in power in Rajasthan, then their only guarantee was to 'loot Rajasthan.'..From every state, they are getting uprooted. Congress has become a joke," Rathore said.
Madhya Pradesh CM Mohan Yadav said that Congress is a party that is sitting on the mountain of injustice, and hence the word justice does not suit them. "Congress has given the name of its manifesto, 'Nyay Patra'. A party that is sitting on the mountain of injustice has always done injustice to farmers, poor, youth, and labourers, hence the word 'justice' does not suit them...They cannot get out of their family; from senior Congress leaders to everyone in the INDI alliance, they cannot tolerate the participation of those who do not belong to their families. The Congress party is fighting a 'lost battle'," Yadav said.

Chhattisgarh CM Vishnu Deo Sai slammed the Congress and said that the grand old party has lost the faith of the people and is a sinking ship. "Do you all think that Congress will form a government? In the 2018 assembly elections (Chhattisgarh), they made 36 promises and got a chance to run the government for five straight years. Did they fulfil any of them? They didn't. The Congress party has completely lost the faith of the people...The party is a sinking ship," the Chhattisgarh CM said.
Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma took a jibe at the Congress' poll manifesto, questioning whether the party had hired a foreign agency to draft it.
"Cong manifesto promises to remove an elected State Govt, restore triple talaq, makes a U-turn on OPS, has no delivery date on any of its promises, lacks a plan to harness benefits of Industry 4.0 and worst of all passes pictures from Thailand & America as that of India. Have they hired a foreign agency to draft their manifesto?," Himanta Biswa Sarma said on X.
BJP national spokesperson Sudhanshu Trivedi said that the Congress has come with such a poll manifesto to create confusion among the voters. Speaking at a press conference at the BJP headquarters in the national capital, he said, “Congress manifesto is a bundle of lies. It has been prepared to create confusion among the voters,” as quoted by news agency PTI.
Trivedi stated that the grand old party, which ruled the country for several decades, is talking about ‘nyay’ (justice) today, but its governments did not do justice when in power. “The Congress did not fulfil any of its promises made in its earlier manifestos for the assembly and Lok Sabha elections,” he alleged.
"There is a picture on water management in Congress manifesto. This picture is of the Buffalo River in New York state. Till now they have not been able to find out who was tweeting from their Social Media chairperson's Twitter, but who sent them this picture? Under the Environment section, a picture from Rahul Gandhi's favoured destination, Thailand has been put. Who is putting all this in their manifesto?," Sudhanshu Trivedi said.
