The Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) on Wednesday released another list of seven candidates for the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections in Uttar Pradesh. It is the 10th list unveiled by the saffron party. The list consists of candidates for nine constituencies, including Chandigarh and Asansol.


It is to be noted that the list has eight new names. The centre-ruling party has replaced its candidate from West Bengal’s Asansol. Earlier Bhojpuri star Pawan Singh was from Asansol seat, who has now been replaced by SS Ahluwalia.


Big Names From BJP's 10th List


Son of former Prime Minister Chandra Shekhar Neeraj Shekhar has been nominated to contest from the Ballia Lok Sabha seat. He has replaced the current MP Virendra Singh Mast.


Sitting MP from Allahabad Rita Bahuguna Joshi has been replaced by Neeraj Tripathi, who is the son of former Speaker of the Uttar Pradesh Assembly Kesri Nath Tripathi.


In addition, Keshri Devi Patel from the Phulpur constituency was substituted by Parveen Patel. B P Saroj, the sitting MP from Machhlishahr, has been renominated by the BJP.


Notably, Paras Nath Rai, who is considered to be an aide of Manoj Sinha, Lt. Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, has been fielded to contest against Afzal Ansari of the Samajwadi Party (SP). The saffron party has fielded Jaiveer Singh from Mainpuri to challenge Dimple Yadav of the SP. Vinod Sonkar, the sitting MP from the Kaushambhi seat, is all set to seek re-election for a third term.
