Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Saturday took a pot shot at Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav over dynastic politics, saying that the former Bihar CM has involved his sons and daughters, and he has been promoting the members of his family. Speaking at a rally in Katihar, the JD (U) leader also said that Lalu Prasad appointed his wife as Bihar CM after he had to step down from the post.
"Some people claim everything these days. They appointed their wives when they were removed. Now, it is their children these days. 'Ab paida to bahut kar diya. Itna zyaada paida karna chahiye kisi ko, baal baccha?'... Now they have involved their sons, daughters, and everyone. They keep saying something or other everywhere. They forget the old things, hence, I want to tell everyone that no work used to get done. People could not get out, there were no roads or education," Nitish Kumar said.
Lalu Yadav's son and former Deputy CM of Bihar, Tejashwi Yadav, reacted to Nitish Kumar's comments, saying that he can say whatever he wants to its his right. Dubbing Kumar's remarks as "blessings," the RJD leader said that such comments will not help the people of Bihar. "You (Nitish Kumar) are senior to us, and we respected you and will continue to do that. You can say whatever you want, that is your right. Whatever he would say, that is going to be a blessing for us. However, making personal comments won't help the people of Bihar," Yadav said.
