New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hold three separate election rallies in three different states today. He will address physical public rallies in UP’s Saharanpur, Srinagar in Uttarakhand, and a virtual rally in Mapusa of the North Goa district.
At around 11:45 AM Prime Minister Modi will reach the Saharanpur district, which is going to polls in the second phase of UP assembly election 2022, in Uttar Pradesh.
His next stop will be at Srinagar in Uttarakhand at 1:45 PM. All the 14 seats of Pauri, Rudraprayag, and Chamoli will be targeted in this rally.
At around 7 PM, PM Modi will address a public rally in North Goa’s Mapusa and 20 constituencies in the South Goa district via virtual telecast.

The fight for five states begins as the first phase of the election for the Uttar Pradesh Assembly commenced today. Polling for 58 Assembly constituencies in the districts of Western Uttar Pradesh is taking place.
Among the districts which are undergoing polling today are Shamli, Muzaffarnagar, Meerut, Baghpat, Ghaziabad, Hapur, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Bulandshahr, Aligarh, Mathura, and Agra.
The contest is intense in the state which is called a litmus test for the political parties at the national level.
While Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has filed his nomination from the Gorakhpur seat, Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav has filed his candidature from his home ground seat of Karhal in Mainpuri district.

In the previous 2017 UP Assembly election, the BJP swept across 325 seats while the SP, BSP, and other parties had begged 54, 19, and 5 seats respectively.
The second phase of the UP Assembly election will be held on February 14. Polling in Uttar Pradesh will take place in a total of seven phases.
Polling for the hill state of Uttarakhand and the coastal state of Goa will be held in a single phase on February 14. Counting of votes for all the states will take place on March 10.
