New Delhi: The season of assembly elections began in five states in February, and political leaders are busy addressing rallies as part of campaigning for the elections. Today, several political leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Akhilesh Yadav, and Arvind Kejriwal will address public meetings in different regions of Manipur and Uttar Pradesh.  


The assembly elections in Manipur will be conducted in two phases. The first and second phases of the assembly elections in Manipur will be carried out on February 28 and March 5. 


The assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh are being carried out in seven phases. As many as 59 assembly constituencies will go to polls on Wednesday, February 23, in the fourth phase of the assembly elections in the state.


Voting has concluded in the states of Goa, Punjab, and Uttarakhand.


Here is the list of political leaders campaigning in different regions of Manipur and Uttar Pradesh today.


Prime Minister Narendra Modi


The Prime Minister will address one public meeting each in Manipur and Uttar Pradesh today. 


He is addressing a public meeting in the Yaiskul Assembly of Manipur, which began at 11 am. It is a part of Imphal East district.


Then, at 3:35 pm, Modi will attend a public meeting to be held on the ground at Shivdaha Mor of Payagpur in Bahraich, Uttar Pradesh.


Amit Shah


Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah will address election meetings in the districts of Pratapgarh and Prayagraj in Uttar Pradesh. Shah will also do a road show in Prayagraj.


At 12:45 pm, he will address a public meeting at Kayastha Patti, Raniganj, Pratapgarh.


He will address a public Shiv Jiyawan Inter College, Leriyari, Koraon, Prayagraj at 2.15 pm.


Then, Shah will address a rally at Durga Puja Park, Pritam Nagar, Prayagraj, at 3:45 pm.


He will address a meeting at Lalit Sweet House, Prayagraj at 4.45 pm.


BJP President JP Nadda


Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President JP Nadda will hold rallies in Deoria and Ballia today. An organisational meeting will be held in Gorakhpur in the evening. The meeting will be conducted with the office bearers and workers of the party.


At 12:30 pm, Nadda will address a public meeting at Satshi Inter College, Deoria.


Then, he will address a rally at Ratsad Inter College, Ratsad, Ballia at 2.15 pm.


Nadda will organise a meeting with party officials and workers at Hotel Shivay, Gorakhpur at 5.30 pm.


Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh


Today, Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will address three public meetings in Uttar Pradesh.


At 12:30 pm, Singh will address a public meeting at Gyankul Vidyalaya, Vanshi Bazar, Sikanderpur, Ballia.


This will be followed by a rally at Bhumidhar Degree College, Sikriganj, Khajni, Gorakhpur. Singh will address this public meeting at 2.30 pm.


Next, he will address a public meeting at Gayatri Marriage Hall, Vasudha Piprauli Bazar, Gorakhpur at 3.50 pm.


UP CM Yogi Adityanath


Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will address several public meetings in Ayodhya, Gonda, Bahraich and Barabanki today.


At 11:15 am, he started addressing a public meeting at Inayatnagar, Milkipur, Ayodhya.


After this, Adityanath will address a rally at RD College, Suhawal, Bikapur, Ayodhya, at 12:30 pm. The public meeting will be held next to the railway crossing.


At 1:45 pm, he will address a rally in Ginni Nagar, Rasulpur, Block Babanjit, Gaura, Gonda.


At 3 pm, Adityanath will be in a public meeting with Prime Minister Modi at Shivdah Mod, Payagpur, Bahraich.


In the evening, Adityanath will address a rally in Gaura Selak, Kursi, Barabanki, at 5 pm.


UP State BJP Head Swatantra Dev Singh


Uttar Pradesh State BJP Head Swatantra Dev Singh will visit Pratapgarh today for election campaigning. He will be on an election tour of Pratapgarh. He will address worker dialogue, organisational meetings, public relations and public meetings.


At 12 pm, Dev Singh will address a public meeting at Rure, Pratapgarh, the martyr site of Patti Vidhan Sabha of Pratapgarh district.


At 1:30 pm, he will address a public meeting at Kohdaur, Pratapgarh, near Kandharpur square.


Next, Dev Singh will address a public meeting in Pratapgarh, near Deum West Police Station-Sagarpur of Rampur Khas Vidhan Sabha of Pratapgarh district, at 3:30 pm.


UP Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya


Today, Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya will be on an election tour of Sultanpur and Prayagraj. 


He is addressing a public meeting which started at 11:30 am at Sagra, Isauli, Sultanpur.


After this, at 12:30 pm, he will address a rally at Tehsil Road, Sadar, Sultanpur.


At 1.30 pm, Maurya will address a public meeting at Bharari Manda, Meja, Yamunapar, Prayagraj.


Next, he will address a rally at Dhaukli Chauraha, Phulpur, Prayagraj, at 12:45 pm. The location of the public meeting is behind the Indian Farmers Fertiliser Cooperative Limited (IFFCO) plant in Phulpur.


Maurya will join Amit Shah in the public meeting to be carried out at Durga Puja Park at 3:45 pm.


Union Women and Child Development Minister Smriti Irani


Today, Union Women and Child Development Minister Smriti Irani will address three public meetings.


She will address a rally at the premises of Ram Janaki temple in Siswa, Maharajganj, at 12:30 pm.


After this, she will address a public meeting at Pattara Bazar, Dumariaganj, Siddharthnagar at 2.30 pm.


At 4 pm, Irani will address a rally at BMGN Inter College Ground in Bakhira, Mehdawal, Sant Kabir Nagar.


SP President Akhilesh Yadav


Akhilesh Yadav, President of the Samajwadi Party (SP), will perform an election tour of  Prayagraj, Chitrakoot and Kaushambi.


At 11:50 am, a workers’ conference will be held at Antahiya Majra Gadwa Khurd, Mirzapur Marg, Karchana in Prayagraj district.


Next, there will be a workers' conference in Khoh, the ground next to the police line in Chitrakoot district at 1:10 pm.


This will be followed by a worker's conference at Sayara, Grounds of Babu Singh Degree College in Kaushambi district at 2 pm.


After this, at 3 pm, there will be a worker's conference at Samaspur Charva, development block Muratganj, Chail in Kaushambi district.


BSP National President Mayawati


Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) National President Mayawati will address a public meeting in Bahraich, Uttar Pradesh. At 2 pm, she will address a public meeting in Village Sohriyanwa, Tehsil police station Payagpur, District Bahraich.


AAP Convener Arvind Kejriwal 


Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) National Convener Arvind Kejriwal will address a public meeting today at Sahjanwa constituency of Gorakhpur, Khalilabad constituency of Sant Kabir Nagar and Rudhauli constituency of Basti.


He has reached Gorakhpur.


Kejriwal will address a rally at Murari Inter College, Sahjanwa. Before this, a road show will be conducted via Ganesh Chowk Golghar till Shastri Chowk.


The timings for the meeting at Sant Kabir Nagar and Basti are not known.


Anupriya Patel


The Minister of State for Commerce and Industry, Anupriya Patel, will campaign for the Apna Dal party in several districts of Uttar Pradesh. She will hold public meetings in Prayagraj, Amethi, Sultanpur, and Rae Bareli.


Patel will address a public meeting in Karela Bagh, Karchhana, at 12 pm.


After this, she will address a public meeting at Visheshwarganj Sports Ground, Amethi at 1.30 pm.


Then, at 2:45 pm, she will address a public meeting at Katghara, Near Sudnapur Bazar, Gosaiganj, Sultanpur.


Patel will address a public meeting at  Tilanga Bagh, Ganeshganj, Salon, Rae Bareli, at 3.45 pm.


Manoj Tiwari And Jai Prakash Nishad


BJP MP Manoj Tiwari and MP Jai Prakash Nishad will visit Gorakhpur to address public meetings as part of campaigning for the elections. They will campaign in Kushinagar, Deoria, Gorakhpur.


At 12 pm, they will address a public meeting at Inter College Turkpatti Mahuawa, Fazilnagar, Kushinagar.


This will be followed by a public meeting at Maibhra, Derwa Barhalganj, Chillupar, Gorakhpur, at 2 pm.


At 3:20 pm, they will start campaigning from Deoria bypass road in Barhaj of Deoria's Barhaj assembly.


Next, they will visit Asuran intersection of Gorakhpur city at 5 pm.
