Aam Aadmi Party announces second list of 21 candidates for Rajasthan Assembly elections.
Congress MP Rahul Gandhi will be on a two-day visit to poll-bound Chhattisgarh on Saturday and Sunday, a party functionary has said, reported PTI. Gandhi will arrive in Raipur at 11.45 am on Saturday and proceed to Bhanupratappur constituency to address a rally at 1 pm, Sushil Anand Shukla, head of the state Congress' communication wing, was quoted as saying.
"He will address another rally in Farasgaon under Kondagaon assembly segment in Bastar region at 2.40 pm. On Sunday, he will address rallies in Rajnandgaon and Kawardha constituencies at 1 pm and 2.50 pm, respectively," Shukla said, as quoted by PTI.
Madhya Pradesh BJP President VD Sharma says, "Congress' basic character is against Lord Shri Ram, against Sanatana Dharma. Madhya Pradesh's 9.5 crore people are asking why does Congress object to the hoardings of Ram Mandir?"
"Congress and their leaders who practice appeasement politics are pained by the construction of the Ram Mandir," he added.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah will be on a three-day visit to poll-bound Madhya Pradesh starting Saturday, a party release said. He will visit Jabalpur, Chhindwara, Bhopal, Chhatarpur, Rewa, Shahdol, Ujjain, Indore and Gwalior districts and address divisional meetings, public gatherings and take part in different functions during the visit, the release added.
On Saturday, Shah will pay tributes to tribal martyrs king Shankar Shah and his son Raghunath Shah near Rani Durgawati Hospital in Jabalpur at 12.50 pm. He will then address a meeting at the Bharatiya Janata Party's Jabalpur divisional office at 1.30 pm, the BJP release added.
Telangana Congress Committee Working President Mohammed Azharuddin speaks on getting the ticket from Jubilee Hills: "...I am very happy and I thank the party high command for giving me the ticket...Hopefully, we can win from there."

Congress's Manifesto In Rajasthan
The Congress party on Friday released a list of its seven "guarantees" for the upcoming Rajasthan elections. Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot also assured the people of bringing back the Old Pension Scheme and an annual allowance for women heads of families.
Here are the party's seven guarantees:
Rs 10,000 every year to the woman head of the family.
Purchase of cow dung at Rs 2 per kg
Laptop or tablet for first-year government college students
Free insurance of up to Rs 15 lakh for families affected by natural disasters.
Guarantee of English-medium education to every student
Cylinders for Rs 500 to 1 crore families

Mizoram Elections: BJP Promises Reservation For Women In Govt Jobs
BJP president JP Nadda on Friday released the party's 'vision document' or manifesto for the Mizoram assembly election. The party promised a Mizoram Sports Academy with scholarships for aspiring athletes and a 33 per cent reservation for women in government jobs. Speaking at the launch event in Aizawl, Nadda said the BJP would also set up a Mizoram Olympic Mission.
He added that the BJP will establish a special investigation team to probe all irregularities and corruption in the implementation of Socio-Economic Development Programme. "We will collaborate with the Central government and Assam government to resolve the long-standing border dispute and safeguard the interests and rights..." he said.
AAP Releases 5th Candidates' List For Chhattisgarh Elections
The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Friday released its fifth list of 12 candidates for the upcoming Chhattisgarh Assembly elections. The party has fielded Neelam Thakur from Ramanuganj seat, Rakesh Yadav from Beltara, Anubhav Tiwari from Sakti, Sanjay Yadav from Mahasamund, Vijay Jha from Rajpur South, Veer Verma from Saja.
So far, AAP has announced 57 candidates for the upcoming polls to the 90-seat assembly. Both BJP and Congress have already declared their candidates for Chhattisgarh polls.
