ABP News conducted an Exit poll for the Lok Sabha elections, projecting the BJP-led NDA to get a clear majority by winning 277 out of the 542 seats. The BJP on its own is expected to win 227 seats while its NDA allies are expected to add 40 seats to their tally.
The Congress-led United Progressive Front is expected to win 130 seats while the other parties are likely to bag 135 seats.
As per ABP News Exit poll, the Congress party is expected to almost double its seats tally in the 2019 Lok Sabha polls from what they won in the 2014 general elections. The Rahul Gandhi-led Congress party is expected to clinch 87 seats in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections as opposed to the 44 seats which they had won in 2014 Lok Sabha polls.
According to the ABP News Exit poll, while the Congress is expected to fare better in the states of Kerala, Punjab, Madhya Pradesh and Jharkhand , the party is likely to lose ground in West Bengal.
