Following the tense Assembly elections in five states, the focus has shifted to the Lok Sabha elections next year. The state elections, dubbed the "semi-final" before the 2024 final, culminated in a 3-2 triumph for the BJP, which retained power in Madhya Pradesh while wresting authority from the Congress in Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan.

With the Lok Sabha polls only a few months away, the BJP-led NDA is banking on the charisma and popularity of its most prominent campaign icon, PM Modi. On the other hand, the Opposition grouping I.N.D.I.A has failed to convey its Prime Ministerial face after four important meetings. Following the fourth meeting in New Delhi, West Bengal Chief Minister and TMC supremo Mamata Banerjee said that she has proposed Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge as the coalition's PM face. Her Delhi counterpart, AAP convenor Arvind Kejriwal, backed the initiative as well.

While I.N.D.I.A. is yet to reveal its leader for the top post, ABP and CVoter reached out to the people across the nation to find out who they prefer as the next Prime Ministerial face, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi or Narendra Modi.
