New Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party Chief Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday released its party manifesto for the Lok Sabha election. The manifesto, which was released in the presence of senior party leaders, including Manish Sisodia, Raghav Chadha laid focus mainly on “Full-statehood for Delhi”, a demand which Kejriwal’s party has been escalating for a long time.

The manifesto was released in the presence of all the seven candidates who are contesting on the party's ticket from Delhi.

Speaking at party’s manifesto release event, Kejriwal asserted that these elections are very important for the nation as they will decide the future of the country. He pressed that several forces have been attempting to divide the country on the basis of caste and religion.

Taking on BJP Chief Amit Shah over his “Will oust all infiltrators except Buddhists and Sikhs” comment, Kejriwal said “BJP is trying to divide the nation. He said that “We will give support to anyone except Modi-Shah".

He further said that “Delhi is currently known as a rape capital and Delhi women will feel safe after it attains full statehood”.




Kejriwal also spoke about fastening the education sector in Delhi. "Will open new colleges in Delhi to ensure that a student who scores 65% also gets an admission in a Delhi college".

He also asserted that “85% seats in Delhi colleges will be reserved for children who have passed class 12 from here". He also said "Will ensure that "Will make Delhi cleaner and will beautify it after Delhi gets full-statehood"

The voting for Lok Sabha elections in Delhi is set to take place on May 12.
