Patna: Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav on Monday released the party manifesto for the 2019 Lok Sabha polls in Patna.


In the manifesto, the RJD has promised reservation to Dalits and other backward classes on the basis of their population in the state. The manifesto also lists out promotion in reservation and promises to fill out all government posts lying vacant. The RJD supremo said that the party has a action plan in place to create job opportunities.

In its manifesto titled 'Pratibadhata Patra,' RJD has promised to implement Mandal Commission if voted to power. The party also promised to work for social justice, reservation among others.

While releasing the manifesto, Tejashwi Yadav said that the party will take all necessary steps to stop migration of locals outs of the state for job opportunities.

Tejashwi Yadav also said that he supported the Congress party's NYAY yojana which was mentioned in the Grand Old Party's election manifesto released last week.

Bihar will be voting in all the seven phases of the elections, starting April 11. Voting will end on May 19 and counting will be held on May 23.

Meanwhile, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is all set to release its poll manifesto for the Lok Sabha election. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP president Amit Shah, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley and other senior BJP leaders will be present during the event.
