The overall pass percentage for this year is 86.34 percent. This is higher than the previous year pass percentage which was 86.07 percent. In a press conference, the WBBSE board president said that this year a total of 10,35,666 have appeared for the West Bengal Madhyamik exams out of which 5,65,668 are girls.
Last year boys had performed better with a pass percentage of 89.97 percent while girls had recorded a pass percentage of 82.87 percent.
Like in the case of most exams this year, the results were delayed due to the pandemic and the nationwide lockdown. The class 10 exams ended on 22 February.
To pass in the WBBSE exams, it is mandatory that students pass in all subjects with a minimum of 25 percent. The Board has given students an option to appear in a supplementary examination. L
While e-marksheets will be available, according to ABP News sources, the physical marksheets of secondary will be given on July 22 and 23 from the school. Parents have to collect the documents from the school.

Kalyanmoy Gangopadhyay, President, WBBSE has confirmed that since the exams have been completed before the lockdown, the merit list will be published.
