New Delhi: Putting an end to all the speculations amid rising cases of coronavirus, the Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UP TET) was conducted yesterday i.e. on Sunday, January 23. The exam was conducted adhering to all the Covid-19 guidelines and a large number of candidates took part in the examination. However, out of the total registered candidates, the number of candidates who came to take the exam was certainly less. Now that the exam is over, candidates are waiting for the results so that the process of recruitment to the posts of teachers in Uttar Pradesh can proceed further.


Number Of Candidates Who Registered


During the coronavirus period, a total of 21,65,179 candidates were registered in both the shifts of the UPTET examination held on Sunday. Out of this, only 18,22,112 candidates came for exam. There were 10,73,302 candidates who appeared for the primary level examination while 7,48,810 candidates appeared for the upper primary level examination.


CM Yogi congratulated everyone on the successful conduct of the exam. Earlier, on November 28, 2021, the exam was postponed as the UPTET paper was leaked out.






1,62,511 room invigilators, 8,530 supervisors, 1,423 mobile teams, 5,814 class III, and 14,059 class IV employees performed the duty in the examination.  


At the same time, the candidates who came out after taking the exam said that the paper was easier than expected. However, owing to Corona, many candidates were scared.


All the candidates did say, now that the UPTET has been done, the government should release its result as soon as possible and start the teacher recruitment process. So it can be said that now the candidates are awaiting results so that they get appointed to the posts of teachers in UP.
