UPSSSC Tubewell Operator paper leak: Exams for tubewell operators (Nalkoop Chalak) under Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Service Selection Commission (UPSSSC), have been postponed due to paper leak. The exams were scheduled to take place today, September 2, on Sunday. However, after the Hindi paper of the test got leaked on Saturday, Lucknow District Magistrate informed that the papers have been postponed while the fresh dates will be announced soon. The new dates will be available on the official website - upsssc.gov.in.


In the latest update, UP Special Task Force has arrested 11 people in connection with the case. SSP, UP STF Abhishek Singh said UP police conducted a raid at Meerut and arrested total 11 people from there on Sunday. The cops recovered the answer sheets from the accused and when they cross verified the answer with the commission, they were found correct. So, this paper leak matter was original, Singh confirmed.

Informing about the arrested people, Singh said out of total 11, 5 were aspirants and rest were mediators. Singh told that one of the accused identified as Sachin is the mastermind of this entire case. Meanwhile, the police are finding out the main source of this paper leak case. "We are doing the investigation in this matter. We have recovered their mobile phones and some digital material from them. We have also recovered 15 Lakh cash from them. Maybe further we will arrest more people in this case," the SSP said. The investigation is underway.

The notification on the official web portal also read, "The Written Examination of Tube -well Operator (Advt No 15(3)/2016) due on 02.09.2018 has been postponed."


The paper was getting viral on social media since yesterday, after which it was examined and found that this is the same exam paper for which more than 20 lakh candidates have applied.



Taking a note from the incident, the Samajwadi Party attacked the Yogi Adityanath-led UP government saying that it is not the youth of the state, but the government of Uttar Pradesh who is incapable. The official spokesperson of SP Juhie Singh took to Twitter and took a dig at the Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Here's what she wrote-



Earlier, UPSSSC had invited applications for the post of Tubewell Operator (Nalkoop Chalak). Around 20,05,376 candidates had registered for the same and were supposed to sit for the exam today. The test was scheduled to take place in 349 exam centres across the state at 10 am on Sunday. The exams were to be held in Lucknow, Kanpur, Allahabad, Varanasi, Gorakhpur, Meerut, Agra and Bareilly. However, this is not the first incident of the paper leak in the state. Earlier, the exam question papers for recruiting Junior Engineers for Power department also got leaked.
