The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has provided the option to candidates who had chosen Imphal as their exam centre for the UPSC Civil Services Prelims Exam (CSE Prelims) 2023. Such candidates with Imphal as their test centre have been offered the option to appear in test centres either in Aizawl, Delhi, Dispur, Jorhat, Kohima, Kolkata and Shillong, news agency PTI reported Union Minister Jitendra Singh as saying in the Rajya Sabha today.


In his written reply, the Union Minister informed the Rajya Sabha that the UPSC provided the option to relocate their exam centres for the UPSC CSE Prelims Exam held on May 28, 2023. The minister further underlined that the option was also provided to candidates of the recruitment tests for Accounts Officer/Enforcement Officer and Assistant Provident Fund Commissioner (APFC) in the Employees Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO), held on July 2.

The option was made available for candidates who opted for Imphal as their test centre city for the exam, and these candidates were offered to appear for their exams in any one of the test cities among Aizawl, Delhi, Dispur, Jorhat, Kohima, Kolkata and Shillong, he further added. 


He further stated that the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has three test centres Imphal, Churachandpur and Ukhrul -- for conducting various exams in Manipur.However, candidates of the Multi-Tasking (Non-Tech.) Staff and Havaldar (CBIC and CBN) Examination, 2022 with Manipur as exam city were given the option to relocate to alternative exam cities in the northeast like Aizawl, Kohima, etc, he further said. He further added that candidates were also given a chance to change their exam centres to any city of their preference across India.
