In a bizarre coincidence, a student named Rahul Modi who appeared for the UPSC Exam, secured Rank 420, as per the results declared on Tuesday.
As soon as the news broke out, the social media was taken by a storm as the name is a combination of that of the two biggest rivals in Indian politics - Rahul Gandhi from Congress and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. What is more eye catching is the rank '420'. If read in Hindi language, it is said as 'chaar sau bees' which is often referred as trickster.
The selected candidates have been recommended for appointment to: (i) Indian Administrative Service (IAS); (ii) Indian Foreign Service (IFS); (iii) Indian Police Service (IPS); and (iv) Central Services, Group ‘A’ and Group ‘B’
Given his rank, Rahul Modi is likely to make it to the Central Services Group as the IAS, IPS, and IFS posts are given to candidates with higher ranks.
