UP School Reopening: In view of the decline in the cases of coronavirus, schools have opened in many states of the country, while many others are planning to open schools in physical mode. Schools from classes 6 to 8 have been re-opened in Uttar Pradesh from today. However, schools from classes 6 to 8 were scheduled to be re-opened from Monday itself. But due to the death of former Chief Minister Kalyan Singh, Monday was declared as a public holiday. Due to this, the schools of these three classes are now opening from today.

Schools of classes 9th to 12th were opened in the state from August 16, 2021, onwards. Guidelines regarding covid-19 safety in schools had already been issued by the state government to all district basic education officers. It is noteworthy that the schools will open from 8 am. Schools with less student strength will be operated in one shift while those with more student numbers will be operated in two shifts. One shift will be of 3 hours. The first shift will be from 8 to 11 am in the morning and the second from 11.30 am to 2.30 pm.

Here's important guidelines which are mandatory to be followed:

  • Students will have to get a written permission from parents/guardians to come to school.

  • Attendance of students in schools has not been made compulsory.

  • It has been made mandatory for all children to come to school wearing a mask.

  • Classes have been allowed to conduct only with 50 per cent student capacity.

  • Students will not share notebooks etc. with each other.

  • At the time of starting and leaving school, all the gates will be opened so that there is no crowd in one place.
