UP PCS Mains Exam 2021: There is big news from Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission. The UPPSC Mains 2021 (PCS Mains 2021 Exam) examination conducted by the UPPSC has been postponed in view of the increasing cases of Coronavirus.


The examination was scheduled to be held between January 28 and January 31, but in view of the Covid-19 surge in the state the Commission has decided to postpone the examination.


The board has also released new exam dates.


UP PCS Mains Exams To Be Held In March


Giving information about the postponement of the examination, Secretary of the UP Public Service Commission, Jagdish has also announced the revised dates for the exams.


UP PCS Mains examination will now be held between March 23 and March 27. The examination will be conducted on the basis of the rules laid down earlier for this examination.


These exams may be conducted daily in two shifts. In the first shift, exam will be held from 9.30 am to 12.30 pm, and in the second shift the exam will be held from 2 pm to 5 pm. 


Students Demand To Postpone Exam


In view of the increasing cases of the Coronavirus in the state, there was a demand to postpone these examinations for a long time. The commission decided to postpone it nine days before the previous exam dates.


The PCS Mains exam will have a total of 8 papers of 1500 marks, and each paper will be for a duration of 3 hours. The Mains exam will have general Hindi and essay, 4 general studies subjects, and one optional paper. After passing this exam, the candidates are called for interview rounds.
