The Exam Regulatory Authority, Uttar Pradesh has extended the registration deadline for UP NMMS (Uttar Pradesh National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship) 2023. Candidates who are yet to register for the scholarship can submit their applications online on the official website - entdata.co.in, till September 28, 2023 now. As per the previous schedule, the registration window for the UP NMMS Scholarship 2023 was scheduled to close today, September 18, 2023. The UP NMMS Scholarship Examination 2023 will be held on November 5, 2023, to shortlist registered candidates for the scholarship. 


Notably, the UP NMMS is a scholarship aimed at providing financial assistance to students during their classes 9 to 12. Students who are currently studying in class 8 are eligible to apply for the scholarship. Furthermore, only those candidates with annual family income of less than 3.5 lakh are eligible to apply for the scholarship. Moreover, students studying in Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV), Kendriya Vidyalaya (KV), Sainik School, government residential and private schools are not eligible to appear in the UP NMMS Scholarship Exam 2023. 


Under the scholarship, a financial aid of Rs 12,000 shall be provided to shortlisted students from Uttar Pradesh government school students every year during class 9 to 12. Candidates applying for the scholarship will be required to appear for the scholarship entrance test which shall comprise two papers: Mental Ability Test (MAT) and Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT). Each of the exam papers shall consist of 90 questions and students will be allowed a maximum time of 90 minutes to answer all questions in each paper.
