The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) has announced that the final exams for Class 10 and Class 12 will take place in February and March 2025. "The exams for both high school and intermediate will start simultaneously on February 24, 2025, and conclude on March 12, 2025,” announced Board Secretary Bhagwati Singh.




The UPMSP released the official date sheet on Monday, detailing that the exams will be conducted in two shifts. The first shift is scheduled from 8:30 AM to 11:45 AM, while the second shift will run from 2:00 PM to 5:15 PM.


On February 24, the first day of the UP Board exams, Class 10 students will take the Hindi exam, while Class 12 students will appear for the Defence Studies exam in the morning session (8:30 AM to 11:45 AM). In the afternoon session (2:00 PM to 5:15 PM), exams for Health Care (Class 10) and Hindi and General Hindi (Class 12) will be conducted, as per the detailed schedule.


For high school students, the major subject exams include Mathematics on March 1, Sanskrit on March 3, Science on March 4, English on March 7, and Social Studies on March 11.


For intermediate students, key subject exams are scheduled as follows: Hindi on February 24, Civics on March 1, Botany and Mathematics on March 3, Economics and Accountancy (Commerce stream) on March 4, History on March 5, Physics, Education, Philosophy, and Psychology on March 6, Chemistry and Sociology on March 8, Geography on March 10, and English on March 12.

A total of 27,40,151 high school students and 26,98,446 intermediate students have registered for the 2025 UP Board exams, making a combined total of 54,38,597 candidates. This marks a slight decline compared to the 55,25,308 registrations in 2024. Last year, the exams were conducted across 8,265 centres, according to Board Secretary Bhagwati Singh.
