UGC NET June 2019 Syllabus has been updated for all subjects including the General Awareness Paper – I which is common and compulsory for all candidates in order to qualify the National Eligibility Test (NET). The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released a notification on the official website - ugcnetonline.in, announcing the modification in the syllabus of papers for all subjects. The updated syllabus will come to effect from the UGC NET June 2019 examination.


“The University Grants Commission has updated the syllabus of all NET subjects (including Paper-I on General Awareness). The updated syllabus of UGC-NET (Applicable for upcoming exams from June 2019 onwards) is available on UGC-NET website www.ugcnetonline.in,” read the official notification.

The UGC NET June 2019 exam will be organized in 101 subjects apart from General Awareness Paper – I. The University Grants Commission (UGC) National Eligibility Test Bureau has released the updated syllabus in English and Hindi (except for other language papers) along with the subject codes.

Candidates who are planning to apply for UGC NET June 2019 must download the updated syllabus for the relevant subject and General Awareness Paper – I and prepare for the exam according to the new syllabi.

About UGC NET 2019:

The National Testing Agency (NTA) was assigned the responsibility to convene National Eligibility Test (NET) from December 2018 onwards. NTA had organized its maiden UGC NET December 2018 examination from 18th to 22nd December 2018, last year, in which approximately 9.5 lakh candidates had registered. NTA had released the result of NET December 2018, earlier this month on its official website – ntanet.nic.in. The award of JRF and Eligibility for Assistant Professor both or Eligibility for Assistant Professor only is granted to candidates on the basis of their performance in both the papers of NET in aggregate.
