Protests outside BIE, Telangana’s office in Nampally, Hyderabad soon followed with students and parents alleging wrong evaluation of results.
Tragically, 22 students in the state committed suicide while 3 case of attempted suicide were registered. CM KCR had immediately ordered free recounting and reverification of all answer scripts of failed students and a committee was formed to investigate the matter.
However, so far the TS Inter Re-verification result has not been released by the authorities. The matter is lying with the state High Court and as per local reports, the High Court has directed TSBIE to make the re-verified answer scripts of failed students available online by 27th May 2019.
Earlier this month, the special committee had submitted a report specifically for the students who had committed or attempted suicide. “The Board got all the scripts of suicide candidates and got it re-verified by the subject experts by forming a committee and checked for any errors either in valuing of the answer sheets, posting of marks or for totalling mistakes. In all the cases, the Board found that there no major errors which would change the marks of the students from fail to pass,” TSBIE had clarified in its report.
