Like in the case of other academic boards, the SSLC exams were disrupted due to the coronavirus pandemic. The exams were scheduled to be held from March 27 to April 9, 2020 but were postponed. The Board then held the exams from June 25 to July 4 using strict safety precautions such as mandatory use of sanitsers and face masks. The exams were held in 2,879 exam centers across the state.
In 2019, the results were declared in April. The overall pass percentage was 73.7 percent. Girls outperformed boys last year with a pass percentage of 79.59 percent. While 68.46 percent of boys cleared the exams in 2019.
According to media reports, this year over 8.40 lakh students appeared in Class 10 exams.
