Amaravati: Government and Private Schools in Andhra Pradesh will reopen for the current academic year on June 12. The Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy has announced that schools in the state, including both government and private schools, will reopen for the current academic year on June 12. This decision was made following the release of the annual academic calendar for 2023-24 as reported by news agency PTI. The calendar includes various details such as the academic schedule, information about principals and teachers' duties, guidelines for language clubs, labs, lesson plans, cultural activities, and more.


In a review meeting with education department officials, the Chief Minister emphasized the importance of having two junior colleges in each mandal, one for girls and the other in a co-education format. He also instructed officials to upgrade high schools into junior colleges based on the population. Additionally, the Chief Minister directed officials to provide training to teachers on the use of Interactive Flat Panel (IFP) panels and video content delivery.


During the meeting, officials informed the Chief Minister that representatives from companies would provide demonstrations to engineering college faculty members, who would subsequently train the teachers. They also mentioned that around 20,000 engineering students would undergo internships and then train teachers on the usage of panels, tablets, Byju's content, and smart televisions on a monthly basis.


Furthermore, the Chief Minister emphasized the importance of achieving a 100 percent gross enrollment ratio (GER) in schools and instructed officials to take necessary steps to ensure that all 45,000 schools in the state have access to internet facilities.

TS Schools To Reopen On June 12


Schools in Telangana are scheduled to reopen for the new academic year 2023-24 on June 12. Following a summer break that started on April 25, students will begin the academic year, which is expected to have 229 working days. The academic calendar provided by the school education department includes three sets of term holidays, which are Dasara, Christmas (for missionary schools), and Sankranti (for other schools).
