The long wait for the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) final results 2022 has finally ended for many UPSC aspirants. On May 22, 2023, the UPSC declared the civil services final results for 2022. Candidates can check their results on the official website at upsc.gov.in. The results are based on the written part of the Civil Services Examination, 2022, which was conducted by the UPSC in September 2022, and the subsequent interviews for the Personality Test held between January and May 2023.


According to the UPSC, Ishita Kishore has secured the top position in the civil services exam 2022. Garima Lohia and Uma Harithi N have obtained the second and third ranks, respectively. In total, 933 candidates have qualified the civil services examination 2022 as per the UPSC announcement.


According to the UPSC release, the candidature of 101 candidates is provisional, and their roll numbers have been mentioned in the press release. UPSC has not provided data regarding the gender-wise qualified candidates in the UPSC Civil Services exam for this year, which was previously included in the result document until 2021.


This year, the reserve list consists of a total of 178 candidates. Among them, 89 candidates are from the general category, 28 from the EWS category, 52 from the OBC category, and 5 each from the SC and ST categories, respectively. Also, with the inclusion of IRTS (Indian Railway Traffic Service) in the civil services, the number of vacancies has increased.

  • Indian Administrative Service (IAS)

  • Indian Foreign Service (IFS)

  • Indian Police Service (IPS)
