CBSE has decided not to publish a merit list for Class 12 board exam results to prevent unhealthy competition among students. Instead, CBSE will issue merit certificates to the top 0.1% of students who have scored the highest marks in individual subjects. This move by CBSE aims to encourage students to focus on their own learning and academic growth rather than competing for ranks and divisions.
As per the latest announcement by CBSE, the board exams for both Class 10 and 12 in the year 2024 will commence from February 15th.
A total of 16,60,511 students appeared for the CBSE Class 12 board exam this year, out of which 14,50,174 students have been declared pass, with a pass percentage of 87.33%. It is noteworthy that the pass percentage has declined from last year's 92.71%.

However, students who achieve the top 0.1 percent of scores in different subjects will receive a merit certificate, similar to last year. The CBSE Class 10 and 12 board exams started on February 14 this year, and the examinations for Class 10 and 12 concluded on March 21 and April 5, respectively. A total of 38,83,710 students were eligible to take the exams this year, with 21,86,940 students from Class 10 and 16,96,770 students from Class 12.

- Log in using your registered mobile number and OTP.
