Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sharma has announced that all educational institutions in Assam will be closed tomorrow January 22, on the day of Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha in Ayodhya. Besides announcing the closure for state government institutions, he also urged private institutions in the state to remain closed on the day of Ramlala Pran Pratishtha. The Assam CM further said that all meat shops, markets, and wine shops across the state shall be closed tomorrow till 04:00 pm.
"This is a triumph of the Bharatiya Civilization. I, on behalf of the people of Assam, congratulate Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Tomorrow up to 4 pm, meat, fish shops, and markets will be closed. Tomorrow, all wine shops will remain closed. Tomorrow is a dry day in the state. I also want to appeal to Rahul Gandhi to visit Batadrava Satra tomorrow after the Pran Pratishtha of Ram Temple is completed..." Assam CM himanta Biswa Sharma was reported as saying by news agency ANI, on the Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha
"All educational institutions including Government schools, colleges, and Universities will remain closed for the entire day, tomorrow. I also appeal to the private educational institutions to remain closed tomorrow. People of Assam including MLAs have participated in the Swachhta Abhiyan in many religious places including temples, Mosques, Churches..." he further added.
Notably, in the light of the Ayodhya Ram mandir consecration ceremony tomorrow, several states have announced holiday, and other norms to be improvised on January 22. States like Uttar Pradesh, Madhya pradesh, Goa, Chhattisgarh, and Haryana have also announced closure of schools and other institutions on January 22. Furthermore, apart from Assam, there will also be no sale of liquor on January 22 in Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, as well as Madhya Pradesh.
