Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar On Sunday, announced that the proposed medical college in Sirsa will be named after Baba Sarsai Nath, a saint of the Nath sect. The Haryana Chief Minister made the announcement during his visit to the Sirsa district, where he also attended a spiritual programme at a Radha Soami Satsang Beas' centre in Sikandarpur village, as per an official statement. During his visit, the Chief Minister also inspected the land allotted for the medical college.
The Chief Minister further underlined that the construction work will begin soon, and that the state government has already approved the construction of the college building. He further highlighted the state government’s commitment towards ensuring proper healthcare for every citizen of the state, as per the statement.
At the Radha Soam Satsang Beas' Sikandarpur centre, CM Khattar also listened to the discourse of sect chief Gurinder Singh Dhillon. Later, he also visited Dhillon’s residence where he felicitated him with a shawl. Earlier last month, Khattar also visited the headquarters of the Radha Soami Satsang in Beas, located approximately 45 kms from Amritsar. He also met Dhillon at the headquarters. Notably, the sect witnesses a large number of followers across the country.
Besides, Khattar also visited and inspected the land designated for the proposed drug de-addiction in the Red Cross Bhawan in Sirsa. On his visit, he further directed Deputy Commissioner Parth Gupta to ensure the development of the layout of the centre in a way that allows easy expansion in the future.
The Haryana CM also visited the rehabilitation centre at the civil hospital in Sirsa, where he interacted with the patients, and urged them to be self-reliant after returning into the mainstream society. He further directed the deputy commissioner to make sure that the patients from the drug de-addiction centre are released only after being completely healthy.
