UGC NET 2020: Detailed Exam Schedule Expected To Be Released Soon
The exam schedule for UGC NET which was postponed by the NTA is likely to be released soon. The exam this year will begin on September 24.

UGC NET 2020: The National Testing Agency (NTA) is likely to release, subject-wise and shift-wise schedule for the upcoming UGC NET exam soon. The exam which was supposed to take place on September 16, was postponed to September 24. The testing agency has yet to provide a confirmed date for the schedule, so candidates are advised to check the official website for the latest updates.
In an official circular issued by the NTA today, the agency stated that "In view of ICAR Examination AIEEA-UG/PG and AICE-JRF/SRF (Ph.D.) 2020-21 being conducted on the above-mentioned dates, the National Testing Agency has rescheduled the dates of UGC-NET Examination, 2020. This is due to some common candidates in both exams and the requests received thereof. The UGC- NET 2020 Examination will now be held from 24th September onward."

The NTA in its notification further said that the downloading of Admit cards indicating Roll Number, Examination Centre, Date, Shift, and timing of Examination will be announced before the date of examination on the official website of UGC-NET Examination 2020. It is likely that the admit cards will also be released soon.
UGC NET 2020 exams will be conducted by NTA in 81 subjects at different Exam Centers across India to determine the eligibility for the post of Assistant Professor and Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) or Assistant Professor only in various Indian Universities/ Colleges/ Institutions recognized by UGC.
The exam will comprise two papers Paper I and II containing multiple-choice questions (MCQs). While Paper I which is on teaching and research aptitude is common and mandatory for all candidates, Paper-II will be on the subject selected by the candidate. Both papers have to be completed within 3 hours.
