The National Testing Agency (NTA) had organized NEET UG 2019 on Sunday, 5th May 2019 for candidates seeking admissions to MBBS/BDS courses for the academic year 2019-20. However, due to cyclone Fani, the examination was postponed in the state of Odisha until further notice. On the exam day, hundreds of North Karnataka students could not appear for the examination due to delay in Hampi Express en route Bengaluru. Similarly, few candidates in Siliguri, West Bengal too ended up not giving their NEET UG 2019 exam as their examination centre fell short of exam papers in Hindi medium (as selected by the candidates).
To save a year and months of preparation of the affected candidates the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) had announced a Re-Exam for NEET UG 2019, and affected candidates were asked to submit proof with their respective District Coordinators.
All the candidates who had appeared for the NEET UG 2019 medical entrance exam must keep a close eye on the official website to download the preliminary answer keys and their own recorded responses. NTA will assign an objection window during which candidates will be able to raise challenges against any answer they deem incorrect in the provisional answer keys.
The result of NEET 2019 is slated to be declared on 5th June 2019, next month.
