New Delhi: The Union Health Ministry informed on Saturday that the National Eligibility Entrance Test for Postgraduate (NEET PG) 2022 has not been postponed, and that a letter distributed in this respect is a hoax, news agency IANS reported.

According to the Ministry, the forged letter is being disseminated in the name of the National Board of Examinations (NBE). Te board has also issued an advisory against the fake notification.

"The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt of India, has directed that over five thousand interns are ineligible for the exams and due to insufficient time between the counseling of previous NEET PG and exams hence conduct of NEET PG 2022 examination scheduled to be held on May 21, 2022 is to be postponed," reads the letter being circulated on social media.

It was also said that the NEET PG 2022 would begin on July 9.

"It has come to the attention of NBEMS that certain unscrupulous individuals are disseminating incorrect and counterfeit material via spoofed notices in the name of NBEMS," the Ministry wrote in response to the letter.

It stated that all stakeholders should not be mislead by any unsubstantiated warning and should cross-check any information about NBEMS on its official website.
