NEET-UG Row: The National Testing Agency conducted a retest of the NEET-UG examination on Sunday for the 1,563 candidates, who were awarded grace marks to compensate them for their loss of time during the exam, conducted on May 5. However, even after the raging controversy and demands for re-examination, nearly 48 percent of the candidates did not appear for the retest today.

Out of the total 1,563 candidates scheduled to appear for the NEET-UG retest, only 813 of them took the exam, sources told ABP Live. The re-exams were conducted across 7 centers located in Chattisgarh, Gujarat, Haryana, Meghalaya, and Chandigarh. The result for the retest will be announced before June 30.

Two students who were scheduled to take the NEET-UG retest skipped the exam in Chandigarh. All arrangements were made at the exam centre at St Joseph Senior Secondary School in Sector 44 in Chandigarh for just the two of them to give their retest. However, when none of them reached for the re-exam, the authorities shut the gates.

Meanwhile, the Bihar police on Sunday arrested four persons in Nawada in connection with the alleged attack on CBI team, probing UGC-NET leak case.
