NEET PG Exam 2021: The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (Postgraduate) has been postponed for at least 4 months in view of the current covid-19 pandemic.
Prime Minister's Office in an official statement on Monday announced that the NEET-PG Exam to be postponed for at least 4 months to boost the availability of medical personnel to fight COVID-19. As per the decision taken by PM Narendra Modi authorities, medical personnel completing 100 days of Covid duties will be given priority in forthcoming regular Government recruitments. Medical Interns to be deployed in Covid Management duties under the supervision of their faculty. Final Year MBBS students can be utilized for teleconsultation and monitoring of mild Covid cases under the supervision of the Faculty. BSc/GNM Qualified Nurses to be utilized in full-time Covid nursing duties under the supervision of Senior Doctors and Nurses.
"NEET-PG is an eligibility-cum-ranking examination prescribed as the single entrance examination for admission to various MD/MS and PG Diploma Courses," reads the official NEET PG 2021 information bulletin.
The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (Undergraduate) is also expected to be deferred in view of the current covid-19 pandemic. The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the NEET (UG) 2021 examination in 11 languages, including Hindi and English through Pen and Paper mode. The total duration of the examination is three hours.
