The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) is set to announce the schedule for the NEET PG 2024 counselling process on November 11, 2024. This eagerly anticipated update comes as candidates who participated in the postgraduate medical entrance exam await further details on how to proceed with their admissions.

Reports from the Federation of Resident Doctors' Association (FORDA) indicate that the counselling will officially commence on the same day. Once the schedule is published on the MCC’s official website, candidates will have the opportunity to select their preferred colleges and courses through the MCC portal, marking a crucial step in their medical careers.

Survankar Datta, president of the Federation of All India Medical Association (FAIMA), shared the news in a recent post, stating that the delays in releasing the schedule have been resolved, and the counselling process will soon be underway.

Additionally, a plea concerning discrepancies in the NEET PG results and a demand for the release of the answer key will be heard by the Supreme Court on November 19. The plea alleges inconsistencies in the results and raises concerns about last-minute changes in the exam pattern.

The NEET PG 2024 exam took place on August 11, with a total of 228,540 candidates sitting for the test across 170 cities and 416 centres. The exam was conducted in two shifts: the first from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM, and the second from 3:30 PM to 7:00 PM. A total of 107,959 candidates appeared for the first shift out of 114,276 registered, while 108,177 attended the second shift out of 114,264.
