NEET PG Supreme Court Hearing: The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) is expected to release the NEET PG 2024 Counselling schedule for All India Quota postgraduate medical seats soon. Although the registration process has begun, dates for other steps, such as choice filling, locking, seat allotment, and reporting, are yet to be announced. As indicated on the official website, the schedule will soon be available at mcc.nic.in.
On Friday, the Supreme Court of India deferred the hearing of a plea challenging the entrance test’s conduct, citing transparency issues. This petition, filed by MBBS doctors, seeks the disclosure of the entrance test’s answer key and question papers.
The counsel for the petitioner raised significant concerns over the NEET PG 2024 examination process, pointing out the lack of a published information memorandum and the absence of a standard operating procedure (SOP) for conducting the exam. Additionally, the petitioner noted that states are reportedly facing confusion regarding the counseling process, adding to the urgency of the matter.
A Supreme Court bench, led by Chief Justice DY Chandrachud and including Justices JB Pardiwala and Manoj Misra, previously directed the Centre to respond to the petition.
