NEET Paper Leak Case: In a significant development, the CBI has arrested Bunty from Jharia in Dhanbad in connection with the NEET paper leak case. The CBI team has taken Bunty to Patna for further investigation. This is the second arrest related to the paper leak case in Dhanbad. Bunty will be presented in a special CBI court where the CBI will request his remand for questioning. Earlier, on July 3, 2024, the CBI arrested Aman, the first accused in Dhanbad, from an apartment in Bapu Nagar, Seraidhela police station area.
The CBI had raided both Aman’s and Bunty’s homes, but Bunty escaped at that time. The CBI seized an XUV car from Bunty’s house. Aman and Bunty are said to be relatives. The CBI suspects that Rocky and Sanjeev Mukhiya are close to Aman and Bunty and played important roles in the NEET paper leak. Bunty was involved in money transactions and admission activities. The CBI has found cash, bank documents, and land papers at his house. Aman was taken to Patna on July 4, 2024, and presented in a special CBI court, where the CBI asked for his remand.
CBI is questioning the arrested individuals from Hazaribagh: Oasis School Principal Ehsanul Haque, Vice-Principal Imtiaz Alam, journalist Jamaluddin, Chintu, and Aman together. Once, Bunty’s remand is granted, he will also be questioned with these individuals. The CBI is looking into Aman's connections with the Hazaribagh gang. Aman's arrest followed information obtained from questioning Chintu and Mukesh, who are already in CBI custody.
The CBI suspects that after leaking the NEET paper, Rocky and Aman had it solved by MBBS students in Patna and Ranchi and then gave the solved paper and answers to NEET candidates, who were made to memorise them. Through Aman and Bunty, the CBI aims to reach Rocky, Sanjeev Mukhiya, and the MBBS students involved in solving the paper. The CBI suspects that the paper was leaked from Oasis School in Hazaribagh and reached Sanjeev Mukhiya.
