NEET 2020 Results:  The NEET 2020 results will be declared on October 16. According to a report by Times Of India, the Supreme Court on Monday also said that those students who were unable to sit for NEET either because they were covid positive or because their area was a containment zone will get another opportunity to appear for the exam on October 14.


The National Testing Agency (NTA)was expected to announce the results today.  The results were expected to be announced before October 12. The Union Human Resource Development Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal have alos confirmed the news via a tweet.

While students were apprehensive about the Covid-19 pandemic and had even filed a petition for postponement of the exams, it was finally held on September 13 across the country after the Supreme Court dismissed the petition. While the answer keys were released on September 28, the OMR sheets were released on Monday, October 5.

Once the results are declared candidates can check their scorecards on the official website ntaneet.nic.inQualified candidates can then proceed to apply for NEET counselling which is conducted by the Directorate General of Health Sciences (DGHS) on behalf of the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC).

To qualify for All India Quota (AIQ) counselling, candidates will have to score above the minimum cut-off. According to a report by the Indian Express, for the general category it is the  50th percentile for general category candidates, for SC / ST / OBC it is the 40th percentile, and for and for PwD candidates it is 45th percentile. Based on the AIQ around 15 percent of the qualifying candidates will be called for the counselling.
