Mumbai: The Mumbai University has started its admission for Undergraduate programmes for the academic year 2020-21 from today, July 22. The varsity has released the schedule of the admission process according to the last day to apply is August 4, 2020. This year due to the coronavirus outbreak the registration process done online.  Students have to complete the form available on the official website mum.digitaluniversity.ac.


The varsity has also issued a notification regarding the admission which says that students also have to submit an undertaking for confirmation of admission in any one college. The final admission will be given after hard copies of marksheets and other certificates are submitted. It also says that pre-admission online registration is mandatory for subsidized and non-subsidized courses such as Music, BPA (Music), BPA (Dance) FY.B.Sc (Bioanalytic Science- Five Year Integrated Course). The University will release three merit lists or cutoffs, first one will be released on August 4th, 2020 which will be followed by verification and admission process based on the first list from August 5th, 2020 to August 10th, 2020. The second and third list will be released on August 10th and August 17th, 2020.

• Application Sale - July 24 to August 4, 2020

• Pre-Admission Online Registration Process - July 22 to August 4, 2020 (until 1 p.m.)

• Date of Submission of Admission Form - 27th July to 4th August 2020 (till 3 pm) (Pre-Admission Registration Form Required) In-house Admission and Minority Quota Admission can be done during this period.

• First Merit List - 4th August 2020 (7pm)

• Document Verification and Payment of Fees (with Guarantee Form) - 5th to 10th August 2020 (3pm)

• Second Merit List - 10th August 2020 (7pm)

• Document Verification and Payment of Fees (with Guarantee Form) - 11th to 17th August 2020 (3pm)

• Third Merit List - 17th August 2020 (7pm)

• Document Verification and Payment of Fees (with Guarantee Form) - 18th to 21st August 2020 (3pm)

Students can contact the helpline number 020-66834821 if they encounter any problem while completing the registration. The University has also said that colleges in areas like Raigad, Ratnagiri, Sindhudurg and Palghar districts which might face difficulties providing an online system for the admission process can conduct the admission process offline while following social distancing and other COVID-19 safety protocols.
