New Delhi: The University of Mumbai had extended the deadline for students to apply for admission by a day due to the rain which was a hindrance for many students who wanted to apply. Admissions will close today at 3 PM, students who want to apply can submit their forms along with a copy of their pre-admission form today.

The deadline was extended because many students contact the authorities citing issues caused by the rains. The registrar Vinod Patil in-charge told Indian Express “The students were supposed to submit forms by 3 pm on Tuesday. Many of them, however, contacted us citing issues due to rain. We decided to accommodate students by revising the date.”

Students have to complete the online registration and the form is available on the official website mum.digitaluniversity.ac. In case of any problem, while registering, it is appealed to contact the helpline number 020-66834821. Pre-admission online registration is mandatory for subsidized and non-subsidized courses such as Music, BPA (Music), BPA (Dance) FY.B.Sc (Bioanalytic Science- Five Year Integrated Course).

Three merit lists will be releasing this time around, first merit list will be released on August 6th 2020. The second and third merit list will be released on August 11th and August 17th 2020.

Colleges in areas like Raigad, Ratnagiri, Sindhudurg, and Palghar districts which were considered to face difficulties with the online system for the admission process were given the option of an offline admission process with strict social distancing and other COVID-19 safety protocols.
