The Medical Council of India has made a recent amendment in the ongoing series of changes it is making in regards to Foreign Medical Admissions for undergraduate courses like MBBS by Indian citizens or Overseas Citizens of India (OCIs). As per the latest notice, NEET Score will be valid for three years for students seeking medical admissions in foreign universities or medical institutions. Until now the NEET Score carries a validity of one year only and the move is certainly going to give an edge to medical aspirants seeking to pursue medical education outside the country. The extended time period will enable students to complete visa formalities, arrange for finances, get enrolled in their preferred foreign universities and so on.

“The result of NEET shall be valid for a period of three (3) years from the date of declaration of result, entitling a candidate to pursue MBBS or equivalent medical course including pre-medical/language course, if any, followed by MBBS or equivalent medical course.” reads the gazette issued by the Medical Council of India.
