The Regional Centre of Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) at Nagpur is conducting final year and final semester examinations in 7 districts of Vidarbha, Maharashtra from today.  These centres have been set up in Nagpur, Amravati, Chandrapur, Nanded, Gadchiroli, Wardha and Buldhana districts of Maharashtra's Vidarbha region. 2,381 students will be appearing for the examinations.


Mandatory to follow Covid-19 guidelines


'Hall Tickets' for IGNOU's final year and final semester exams have been made available online. Candidates can download their admit cards by visiting the official website. It is very important to carry an admit card to exam centres. Students who are unable to appear this time can sit for the examinations in December. The examinations will be conducted under the strict Covid-19 guidelines.  All arrangements have been made following the rules for maintaining social distance, and examination centres have been cleaned and will be sanitized regularly. All invigilators have been instructed to wear masks and gloves. 


151 prisoners to appear for 257 courses


Exam centres have also been set up in extremely interior areas like Gadchiroli and also for prisoners in Nagpur and Amravati Central Jails. At least 151 prisoners will be appearing in exams for 257 courses. Senior academicians have been appointed as supervisors for examination centres.
