The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) will begin the Maharashtra Board HSC or class 12 examination from today, February 21, 2023. The higher Secondary School Certificate (HSC) exam is starting with the English (01) paper. Students will be provided with an additional 10 minutes of reading time to go through the question paper before the start of the exam.
On the second day, February 22, Hindi, German, Japanese, Chinese and Persian paper will be conducted. The class 12 exam will get over on March 20 with the Sociology (A/S/C) papers. The exams will be conducted in two shifts – 11 am to 2 pm in the morning and 3 pm to 6 pm in the evening.
This year, the Maharashtra government has implemented the “copy-free exams" campaign which includes shutting photocopy shops in 50-metre radius of the examination centres ahead of Class 10 and 12 exams.
The exam centres will be graded according to their 'sensitivity', and the entry of unauthorized people will be banned within 50 metres of an exam centre. Police presence around the exam centres would also be stepped up.
The education commissioner has been appointed as the nodal officer and district collectors as coordinating officers for the campaign.
Maharashtra Board HSC Exam 2023: Important Guidelines
- Students must carry their admit cards, no student will be allowed to enter the examination hall without a hall ticket.
- Students will be required to reach the examination centre 30 minutes before the exam.
- Students will be given an extra 10 minutes to read the question paper.
- Students are advised to read all the instructions on the question paper and the answer sheet before answering the questions.
- Only permitted stationery is allowed inside the exam hall. Mobile phones, electronic devices, headphones, and any other electronic gadgets will not be allowed in the examination hall.
- Students cannot leave the examination before the completion of the exam.
