The Kerala SET exam is conducted to recruit higher secondary school teachers and non-vocational teachers in Vocational Higher Secondary Education (VHSE). The Kerala SET exam comprises two papers. Paper 1 is common for all candidates and is divided into two parts: Part A covers General Knowledge, and Part B focuses on Aptitude in Teaching. Each part contains 60 questions, with each question carrying one mark.


Paper 2 is based on the candidate's postgraduate-level subject of specialization and includes a total of 31 subjects.
