Karnataka SSLC Exams 2021: The Karnataka government on Thursday deferred the Karnataka SSLC or Class 10 board exams. The decision has been taken as a precautionary measure in view of the covid-19 pandemic. The Karnataka class 10 board examinations were scheduled to begin from June 21, 2021, onwards. ANI on its official Twitter handle quoted Karnataka's Primary and Secondary Education Minister S Suresh Kumar announcing the postponement of the SSLC examinations.

“SSLC Examination slated to begin from June 21 has been postponed in view of the surge in #COVID19 cases. Revised schedule will be decided after the second wave dies: Karnataka Primary & Secondary Education Minister S Suresh Kumar," reads the official tweet.

Most of the state boards had already either postponed or canceled their board exams in view of the rising number of coronavirus cases. Recently, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and Council for The Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) have also canceled the class 10th board exams and had postponed the class 12th board exams in light of the pandemic.

Note: Students are advised to keep visiting the official website of the board regularly for the latest updates regarding the board examination.
