UPSC CMS 2021: The online registration process for the UPSC Combined Medical Service (CMS) Examination 2021 will end on Tuesday, July 27, 2021. Candidates who are yet to apply for the UPSC CMS 2021 examination can do so by visiting the official website of the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) at upsc.gov.in. 


According to the official notification, the commission will conduct the computer-based UPSC CMS exam on November 21, 2021. The commission is conducting the recruitment drive to fill 838 vacancies, out of which, 349 vacancies are for the Junior Scale Posts in Central Health Service, 300 for Assistant Divisional Medical Officer in the Railways, 184 for General Duty Medical Officer Gr-II in East Delhi Municipal Corporation, North Delhi Municipal Corporation, and South Delhi Municipal Corporation, and 5 for General Duty Medical Officer in New Delhi Municipal Council. 


Candidates applying for the UPSC CMS 2021 should have passed the M.B.B.S. Examination. A candidate who has appeared or has yet to appear at the final M.B.B.S. Examination may also apply for the examination.


Candidates will be selected based on their performance in the written exam followed by the personality test. The written examination will consist of two papers. Each paper will carry 250 marks and candidates will be allowed a time period of two hours to complete the paper. Candidates who will clear the computer-based written UPSC CMS 2021 examination will be eligible to appear for the next round of personality tests. The personality test will be comprised of 100 marks. 


Candidates will have to pay an application fee of Rs 200. The Female/SC/ST/PwBD candidates are exempted from the payment of the registration fee.
