NEW DELHI: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has opened the correction window for the Stenographer exam. Candidates who want to make any corrections to their application can do so by logging into their account on the official website at ssc.gov.in. Candidates can make corrections till tomorrow, August 28, 2024. As per the official notice, candidates will be allowed to correct and resubmit their modified application twice during the 'Window for Application Form Correction.' This year a total of 2006 vacancies will be filled through the stenographer recruitment exam.


"A window for Application Form Correction will be available from 27.08.2024 (00:01 Hours) to 28.08.2024 (23:00 Hours). In case, any correction/ change is required to be made in the already filled application form, candidates may utilise the ‘Window for Application Form Correction’ for the same. Request received after expiry of the abovementioned correction window for any change/ correction/ modification in the application form in any mode of communication viz. Post, Fax, E-mail, by hand etc., shall not be entertained by the Commission and will be summarily rejected," the Commission said in a notice released on August 23, 2024.

To correct the SSC Stenographer 2024 application form, follow these simple steps:


Step 1: Visit the official website of SSC at ssc.gov.in.


Step 2: Click on the "Login" tab on the homepage.


Step 3: Enter the login details.


Step 4: Make the necessary changes to your application form.


Step 5: Carefully review the updated details and proceed. 


Step 6: Download the confirmation page. You can also take a printout for future reference.

SSC Stenographer 2024 Selection Process


The SSC Stenographer 2024 selection process consists of two levels:




  1. Grade C and D Exam: The first level is a Computer-Based Examination (CBE) consisting of multiple-choice questions (MCQs). This exam is conducted online and assesses the candidates' general awareness, reasoning ability, and English language skills.




  2. Skill Test (Stenography): Candidates who qualify in the Grade C and D exam will proceed to the second level, which is a skill test. This test evaluates the candidates' stenography skills, including speed and accuracy in transcription.




Both levels must be cleared to qualify for the final selection.
