New Delhi: The release of JEE Main admit card has been delayed as National Testing Agency (NTA) was expected to release it on August 15 but it was not put out on Saturday. ALSO READ | Students Continue To Face Technical Glitches In Delhi University's Online OBE


After the delay, as per reports, JEE admit card may release on August 17 while the exams are scheduled to held between September 1 t0 6.

"The dates of downloading the admit card indicating roll number and centre of the examination will be displayed 15 days before the conduct of the examination on the official website of NTA and JEE Mains," reads the official NTA notice.

Several PILs have been filed in the courts seeking postponement of exams and this is the reason being cited for the delay. The hearing for the same will begin on August 17.

Many student groups candidates across different universities have taken to courts requesting UGC's decision of holding exams by September be overturned considering the Coronavirus pandemic. No final decision regarding the same has been reached yet. Hence, students have been advised to continue their preparations.

The admit card will be released on JEE main's official website - jeemain.nta.nic.in and NTA's website - nta.ac.in.

To access their admit card and download, candidates will have to fill in their credentials like application number and password/date of birth. In case, there is some issue with respect to the password, students can choose the link provided for retrieving the same.
