Major Change: Optional Section Removed
A significant update for JEE Main 2025 is the removal of the optional part in Section B. Previously, candidates could choose any 5 out of 10 numerical questions. However, NTA has now discontinued this flexibility across Paper 1 (BTech/BE), Paper 2A (BArch), Paper 2B (BPlanning), as per the Indian Express.
This optional section was introduced as a temporary relief during the COVID-19 pandemic but will no longer be applicable in 2025.
