The National Testing Agency (NTA) is expected to release the exam date for the Joint Entrance Examination—Main (JEE Main 2025) soon on its official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in. According to a recent notice from the Goa Board, the first session of JEE Main 2025 is likely to take place in the last week of January. Based on previous patterns, registration for JEE Main 2025 session 1 is expected to begin in November.
The NTA will also publish a detailed information bulletin for JEE Main 2025, including the official exam dates, registration process, eligibility criteria, and application fee details. This bulletin will guide candidates on important steps like filling out the application form, uploading the required documents, and completing the fee payment process.
Additionally, the NTA has announced a significant change for JEE Main 2025: the optional questions in Section B of all subjects have been removed. This modification will apply to both Paper 1 (BE/BTech) and Paper 2 (BArch/BPlanning).
JEE Main, a national-level entrance exam for engineering programmes, will maintain its structure with three sections: Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. The exam will include 90 questions—30 from each subject. Section A will consist of 20 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) per subject, while Section B will feature 5 mandatory numerical questions. The exam duration will remain three hours.
