The National Testing Agency had announced the results of JEE Main 2019 last week, and the top 2,45,000 students were declared eligible to appear for the JEE Advanced 2019 exam. However, with normal life ruptured by Cyclone Fani, the power supply and internet services have been disrupted in the state of Odisha.
Announcing the extension of registration date for JEE Advanced, MHRD Minister Shri Prakash Javadekar took to Twitter this afternoon and wrote, “I am happy to announce that students from #Odisha appearing for #JEE (Advanced) 2019 will get an extension of 5 days till May 14 for their registration. A decision to this effect was taken following the request of #Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik @Naveen_Odisha . @PMOIndia @HRDMinistry”
The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Roorkee is scheduled to organize the JEE Advanced 2019 exam on 27th May 2019, this month. The national level exam was postponed from the original exam date of 19th May 2019 due to the last phase of General Elections 2019.

Several other exams in the state of Odisha have been rescheduled due to the aftermath created by Cyclone Fani. NEET UG 2019 re-exam will be held on 20th May 2019 for candidates who were allotted exam centres in Odisha. AIIMS Bhubaneswar too had postponed the PG Entrance Exam for July 2019 session until further notice.
