Indian Army Recruitment 2021: Indian Army has invited online applications for the recruitment of the Short Service Commission Officers posts on its official website. Interested and eligible can apply for the positions online at joinindianarmy.nic.in on or before June 23, 2021, until 3 pm.
This recruitment drive is being conducted to fill 189 vacancies, out of which, 175 vacancies are for male candidates, and 14 for female. "Course will commence in Oct 2021 at Officers Training Academy (OTA), Chennai, Tamil Nadu," reads the official notification.
Candidates applying for the positions must possess a Bachelor's degree in Engineering in the related field from a recognized institute. Candidates who have passed the required Engineering Degree course or are in the final year of the Engineering Degree course can also apply for the recruitment provided they will have to submit proof of clearing the Engineering Degree course within 12 weeks from the commencement of the training. Candidates who wish to apply for the positions must be between 20 to 27 years of age.
"Only shortlisted eligible candidates depending on the cut off percentage will be interviewed at one of the Selection Centres viz. Allahabad (UP), Bhopal (MP), Bengaluru (Karnataka) and Kapurthala (Punjab) by Psychologist, Group Testing Officer and Interviewing Officer. Call Up letter for SSB interview will be issued by respective Selection Centres through candidate’s registered e-mail id and SMS only. Allotment of Selection Centre is at the discretion of Directorate General of Recruiting, IHQ of MoD (Army)
and NO request for changes will be entertained in this regard." further reads the notification.
